COURSE DESCRIPTION

A rigorous study of polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions, primarily intended to prepare science and mathematics majors for calculus.

Prerequisites: MATH 1101 or MATH 1111 (grade of C or better) with MATH 1111 recommended, or placement.

Textbook: James Stewart, Lothar Redlin, and Saleem Watson, Precalculus: Mathematics for Calculus, 5th ed., Brooks Cole, 2005.
